So far the treatment: the 5 days at 1 1/2 tsp/gal then 5 days at 1/2 tsp are consecutive . Then I do b vitamins, but how long for the vitamins? If there's symptom I redo the whole thing including vitamins every 3 weeks right?

Yes!

It was confusing to get the dosage. There are a lot of different amounts and confusion about using liquid and powder.

I am soooo thrilled its raining!!! Maybe the birds will get some green grass this spring after all. I have to admit, I did not believe the forecast and left the pasture feeders uncovered so the food was very soggy but I will take soggy food over bone dry fields any day.
Me too!

Thanks Ron. Mine were doing MUCH better by day 2. Little twerps are running around like mad again!

Nope. They hatch like this:

Then flop down onto the bottom of the bator. I've had much better hatch rates since I started hatching this way. No more egg soccer going on. Sometimes the ones that hatched earlier make it back up onto the cartons to talk to those that haven't hatched yet.

I think they are cheering them on...

So far no rain here…yet. I don't believe the forecasters anymore either. In fact, I stopped even looking at the weather forecast because it's always sunny and 65. So I was surprised too that rain is coming. What a treat !

That popover looks so good Laura. I wish I liked to cook. I only cook because the state makes me feed my children. Just kidding everyone. Don't call CPS.

we are still hoping the birds test ok as id still rather have eggs
Have you
Confirmed the cost for shipping ? Interesting idea as the hens would lay fertile eggs for weeks. No rattled shipped eggs. It works for dogs. The English lab breeder in carson LOVES to use frozen because it keeps her best lines In Her program for many years. She also LoVES to share the details lol. Threw me a bit off at first!
Also which month would your chicks be ready to order? I would like to gather some other breeds during the same month to ease integration. I hope to hear from deb soon. Her campines and ccl are beautiful.
Anyone prepared to part with maraduna this spring? I think that should keep me busy for a while? (A little while)

they are very easy! it's my grandmother's recipe: 2 cups flour, 2 cups milk, 4 eggs, and a bit of salt. bake for first 15 min at 425°, then reduce to 350° for another 15 min or so. i usually make a quarter of this (1 egg, half-cup of four & milk) for just myself, but absentmindedly poured in a whole cup of each this morning -- so had to add a second egg and just make lots. they smell amazing.

Cold and overcast here in the foothills. It was still 38 degrees and 9:00 AM.
