Oh ok thank you, I will have to call them in the morning since they're on Eastern time. I just checked out the Quail section and read up on how to process them lol pretty graphic! At least they're tiny.

What I thought the Marans club was perfect and all there varieties ..... That must drive some of them nuts that not all there birds have been perfected yet lol
If I understand the system ( and I may not for frigging sure!!) most of them have not had enough serious breeders doing it for 5 years to be in the running yet. They are new to the US still, I remeber finding info on the internet that they had even been accepted and MUCH rejoicing.

It is very, very easy if you skin them. if you do not its still pretty easy.
When I was in High School, I would go out and shoot a couple of Quail, take them home and clean them and skin them. When I had collected 12 or so I would make Quail Stew!

ok I have a quandry. As you might have remembered, I have been on the lookout for a jubilee rooster forEVER. I had a few coming, then somethign would happen, and I gave up.

Now pappabrooder has moved things around so I can have one of his not related to my one remaining girl. But is a pair enough to even bother with? I suppose I could get another english orphington hen to put in there so she is not overbred, but i'm just not sure if its worth it. I should answer him soon, he PMed me last week but I did not get it until today. They ARE beautiful birds, but i dont want pinhead to hate me...
