Ok wild day, wild story!

My friend Karley went with me to meet the family with the Maran chicks. We met in a restaurant/strip mall parking lot by school today at around 3.

Before they got there, we noticed there was a guy in a ford focus acting suspiciously driving around the parking lot messing with these light poles. We realizes he was stripping the copper wire and called the police and gave them the license plate and description.

The family bringing my chicks showed up and I told them what was going on. The guy I got the chicks from happenens to be a cop in the Bay Area. When the police showed up they talked and we were leaving and my chicken guy said "don't go back there, drive the other way, I'll tell you later" so we did.

Turns out the guy had either a stolen car or stolen plates. The cop was waiting for backup and it might have been ugly.

All in all, Karley and I sent a bad guy to jail and I got 6 healthy Maran chicks! They're getting along with my little lavender.

A big day just for chicks!

Mine is a work in progress but it has Monistat, a oral irrigation syringe, Wazine, Safe Guard, the Rooster Booster wound cover/treater can't remember what it is called and tetracycline which I have never had to use. also vet wrap and athletic tape which makes a great boot for curled toes. I need to add prep H for prolapse and Vetrycin. I know it isn't complete but that's what I have/ have on my list
I'm ordering Oxine to put in mine and start using during the wet weather especially.

So...I posted one of the pictures of the "Mystery Critter" on Facebook and asked if anyone might know what it was. A friend just I'm me that the picture had peaked here curiosity so she had been hunting the Internet trying to ID it. I think she may have figured it out. The first picture is the one posted here and the second one is a picture of a Red Fox for DD Farm Animal Sanctuary. Here is the description from the web site: "Meet our Red Foxes! These are Missouri Red Foxes but have a recessive gene of white foxes, which is why they have a white coat. We got these guys from the Conservation Department. They were originally from an area north of Kansas City, but we were able to get them because we have the proper permits to house them permanently. It was sad sight when they came to us at the brink of death and starvation after living on farms where their owners were raising them for their coats. They lived on our front porch for about two weeks, and at one point, one was lying on its side almost dead, and the other wasn’t that far behind it. Luckily though, we got them back to health, and they have been living here ever since. We’ve had them for two or three years now, and their coats and tails have grown back to a healthy thickness in the wintertime." What do you all think?
I think the mystery is SOLVED! How lovely of a species:)

I could not help myself and had to candle. There are a lot of Delaware eggs with Veins!

I can't wait until day 7 now to see how many are developing.
