you can feed it in crabcakes to me! Some say it will have a taste effect on eggs, you want crab eggss? I'm sure they will adore it.This is probably an "only in California" type question but....can I give my chickens cracked crab? There was a fundraiser Sat. The crab is left over. It is cooked and has been in the fridge
It is not as easy as you would think, for sure.Lol and i thought shipping birds was easy it sounds alot more complicated
That's a good idea! I can do it by myself but it can be frustrating especially when I'm holding a large bird and I drop the zip tie. I've switched to using large zip ties for my big birds, too. My Langshans seem to be able to get out of the numbered plastic bands. I wonder how long permanent marker would last on a zip tie exposed to chicken life?!I set up my zip ties in a loose loop that is already caught & keep a tuna can full near the incubator. I can hold the chick in one hand & manipulate the looped zip tie around the chicks toes & onto it's leg by myself that way. I get assorted colors in a pack at Tractor Supply then use a system of different colors & right or left leg & write a list & post it on the brooder door frame. The ties are all dusty now I haven't been hatching lately & you know how chick dust gets everywhere. My new incubator should be here in a couple of days maybe by sometime next month I will be using my system again.....LOL

I was looking for info about the frequency of publication and came across a free e-book version of the 1905 version. It is on the Google Play site and it looks like anyone who had a Google account can view it. Here is the link if anyone is interested. There were also a lot of of other poultry books, including other editions of the SOP:

Let us know how they work!I made a hood for the roos so their eyes are covered in the evening.
its not prettybut basically its just a sock with a hole cut for the beak
Nice eggs!
I hope that your hatches go well, too! The eggs are not anything special to look at but Zoro's babies are beautiful! The last hatch, they were all blue because the mama was a splash. The chicks that just hatch are all black with Pita Pinta markings. It will be interesting to watch them grow!Nice eggs!
I hope you have a great hatch!
I have Delawares hatching next friday, then UofA Blues and Olive Eggers the Friday after that. I set more Delawares and SG Dorkings this morning.
I am stagger hatching now!
