California - Northern

I didn't cut them down and seems they're having trouble getting out once they pop off the top.

I use a knife and cut off the top Half inch. The does give them more room and also lets the air flow around the eggs better. Not cutting out the bottoms makes it easier to clean up the egg shells and mess.

Weird question: Are there really Albino Chickens? I've never heard of any before, but someone has an Albino Cream Legbar on Craigslist.

Oh that is funny!

They are called white sports. Albino would not have black eyes like that one. I also have a suspicion that the skin is yellow judging by the very nice yellow legs.

Niclandia said that they do not breed true--The white does not stay when you breed white pullets to white cockerels.

The do lay nice blue eggs though.

The eggs I shipped to North Carolina made it without a crack!

In 21 days there should be lots of chicks running around there!
Awesome! Must be the professional, usps-proof packaging.

So, not like this Ron?

Oops, I did it backwards. I'm not sure how the carton would stay together if I cut the top, tho.

Your carton doesn't look very tall. I use the paper ones and cut off the high points and also cut out the bottoms for air flow. Ron, I have some of the green plastic trays that go to my cabinet hatcher. Would I be able to use those in my Genesis instead of the disposable egg cartons? Looking to save the time it takes to cut down the cartons.

@cashdl

Lanae is in Willits. Does anyone know if she is still in Business?

An email sent on Friday or Saturday was not replied to so I often worry about people when that happens.

The Website does not look like it has been updated in some time too.

I saw her at the Stockton show but didn't get a chance to talk to her & have lost touch with her friend Sean Lial. I wonder if she has gone to facebook like some other BYCers I have known that seemed to disappear.?

For a flat like that one, cutting the bottoms is perfect! The paper ones are constructed differently so cutting the top works well for them.

Nice job on that one.
