I can chane that with happy birds! I have grow out GIRLS even!
Can't make anyone go broody. You can try leaving a pile of eggs and seeing if anyone takes the bait.
Maybe I should pass your name off the the guy who bought my boys today. He wants to breed quail and after I took his money, I told him that cots would be a better choice.

Hi! I just noticed you are from Fairfield! That is where I was living prior to moving up this way a couple of years ago. Hence the 707 in my name.

This broody is a Wheaten Ameraucana and she is at 6-7 weeks right now. Bah!!!
Awesome! I live over by Solano College. I am county (not city) so I can have any many chickens as my husband will let me - no, uh, make that: as my neighbors will tolerate.

Did you have chickens when you were here? Were you in Fairfield city limits?

Keep me in mind thn. If its under 20.00 I could go for at least 20 bags . After may that is...and how far the mill is, but hubby is willing to drive a bit to buy bulk.

Definitely! I'm sure when we do get together & try to do an order again, we will let everyone know. The larger the order, the bigger the savings!

Did you have to pick it up from them?  I have a "Business" called Paradise Aviary and they were drop shipping 50# bags of seed at my house for free when I ordered 6 at a time.  It was also about $10 less per bag than I could get it locally.   Then they decided there would be no free shipping unless you rodered a full pallet, which was a ton.  I had no place to store that much so I had to go back to buying it locally.  No one carries their brand around here either.

We do have to pick ours up, but I believe one of the ladies who ordered with us had hers delivered to a local feedstore.

@tommysgirl - that is Coronation Sussex that I was talking about. :). One of my favorites.

Quote: I bought a bag of the freeze dried ones to give my Strawberry finches to encourage breeding (they are insectivorous) and they were pretty pricey even for a small bag. I threw a handful to the girls and they went crazy for them, but I can't imagine giving them those very often at that price. Maybe I should get back into raiding them again too..
