No clue, really, but if I had to guess I would say 1 is a boy and 2 is a girl, but that really is just a guess, lol. Cute chicks!

By no means authoritative at all but I wouldnt even think they are the same age at all. Easily a week or more apart is what I would say. The only give away at all would be the eyes both seem developed the same.
I had a sick chicken a couple of years ago with a huge squishy crop so I chose to empty it. I hung her upside down and massaged it until everything came out, including about 20 bugs that looked like millepedes. I guess she found a colony of bugs and went wild on them. They next morning she was fine so I think what ever species she ate made her sick. She is now 3 and has been fine ever since.I suspect the crop will go down tonight. You could massage and empty it but that is gross!
The weight loss would be from the mites. Give her a teaspoon of plain Greek yogurt and some scrambled eggs. Wet starter is good too.
It has been a bad year for buggies.

You are right about emptying the crop. It is really gross, and stinky.
Edited to add:
From the experience above, I have learned that it is a good idea to empty the crop when it is extended because you never know what you will find. In my case, I think I may have saved the hen since some millepedes are toxic. I have found screws and "crop glass" in chickens we have processed. You just never know what they will pick up.
Can anyone give me some input on oxine?
I looked and seem to only find the dosage for drinking water. I need the dosage for disinfecting stuff
Also, in activated kills germs, viruses and bacteria correct?
I have a pen with no chickens in it right now and was going to activate it . Got most of the shavings out. If I spray with activated oxine, would any shavings left contain hazardous materials? I know unactivated is no problem, just want to be sure about if I activate it.
And I did read about using a respirator
It sounds like it is safe after it dries. Can anyone give me some input on oxine?
