I forgot about adding electrolytes to the water. I'll have to go to the feed store in a few minutes and pick up some Sav-A-Chick Electrolytes. I, too, need to freeze some watermelons. I don't think they'd freeze in time to put out today, though.

I need to get some little watermelons to keep in the freezer for them. Misting, shade, electrolytes in the water here. We'll see how that goes and if they need more help.

I froze watermelon last year and the silly birds waited until it thawed to eat it.

I've got a friend in the area that needs a 6 or 7 week old pullet with a ten dollar budget due to a sibling death of their current chick. Basically need the chick for company. Preferably an egg layer pullet in this area. Then I need a day old chick to keep company a baby chick I had hatched by a friend for me that was the only hatch of the five to make it. With that, any breed will do as long as it's day old. Anyone have any suggestions? I have a trade in mind for that one, but name your price and or due date if soon and we can negotiate once pay day comes. Please inbox. Thank you and great day.

Mine pick watermelon until there's not a single speck of red left on it. They even eat some of the gross white part.

There are times that the rind is picked so clean you'd have a hard time telling it was a melon. Cucumbers work well too, I don't think I would freeze them though.
