Poultry dust works great!. If they have active mites/lice, you need to treat and then treat again in 10 days as it does not kill the eggs. Dust their bums and under their wings.Does anyone know how effective the PROZAP garden & Poultry dust is for treating poultry lice? I have some of that and Sevin Dust 5%. I have been reading that the PROZAP is more environmentally friendly, but want to use what will work. Any feedback on it?
I have poultry dust in both powder and liquid concentrate. I like the liquid concentrate because I can dilute it in a spray bottle and spray the chickens bums when they are roosting on the perch. I spray them every couple of months as preventative. One squirt usually does the trick. If they do get mites/lice then you should use the powder and dust under their wings also.
