Thank you Kaylish, looking at that picture it looks like this is definitely a blue. What do ya'll think? I have two that are this color.

Are you marans clean legged?  They really should have foot feathering.

Yes they are clean legged. I just got them from someone local who has them, she doesn't breed for quality I don't think. I wasn't going to dish out a bunch of money for my first hatch lol, I got the eggs for $15/dozen

Do you have the egg? Im wondering if someone jumped the fence. For some reason the chick does not scream marans to me. But it might just be its an unusual blue. Ask the seller if she has a bbs pen or another rooster. I never mind when people get a surprise or ask questions.

The Partridge Penes are doing very well with their Foster Mom. She is a Splash Barnveldner. They were out free ranging this morning.

Adorable Ron!!! I have eggs in the bator which I plan to put under a couple of broodies in the next couple of days. This video got me excited! Can't wait to give those eager bantams some babies.

She is the Hen that I hatched from the eggs you sent me, so she should look familiar to you.

She is great!

Oh yeah, I forgot I gave you some Barnie eggs. Did you hatch her when you hatched the Amelias?

Sadly, I just sold her mom along with all my Double Laced Blue Barnevelders. I am cutting way back on the number of birds and breeds. I also sold my Bresse flock. Sad to see them go, but I really want to be able to put more energy into the ones I am keeping.
