Dont know how the 2 that I carried to Jules faired heard one wasnt eating. But they had berry stains all over their beaks when they were picked up from the farm. They are cute.
The little one died.

I think the stress of being chased & caught then transported was just too much for the little guy. They were the last 2 poults on the farm. There is always a chance that one of the females will hatch another clutch. There is someone in Brentwood/Oakley that is selling turkey poults on CL. http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/grd/4506948603.html

So sorry you seem to have been  hexed by the same XY curse that I am....maybe some of those "boys" are just tricking you and will be girls afterall

Well the last one hatched, another boy!

Remember how I said my 4  BBS AM/EE were supposed to hatch Thursday?  This morning I had 2 chicks! :love One is blue and one is not fluffed up but looks black with copper/red on her head.  There is a pip in one of the two remaining eggs and I have high hopes for the 4th too.   Expect pics!

Come on Splash...Come on Pullets!!!!!

Have you guys seen these designs:   https://www.facebook.com/Goldeneggteeshirtshop  My H got me the "certified fowl mouth" one for my bday.... I want "faster than a speeding pullet." to run in.
tommysgirl: I can just about gaurantee you have all pullets because I believe I hatched all the boys this side of the Mississippi! It's virtually impossible for anyone else to have boys this season :)

Oh, wow... I hope the last 1-2 are also girls, at least. The boys sure are pretty. Not pretty enough to keep a dozen spare ones around, but still awfully pretty.
nice way to look positive! Out of these bazillion boys I should have at least 1 rock star!

The little survivor is thriving. It is so cute running around with chicks 1/3 it's size :) I agree that the other one was just overly stressed. It wouldn't eat or drink. It seems the turkeys don't handle change as well as the chicks. I appreciate you both getting them to me :hugs

I had to go to the Dentist today. I will have to go back for a crown next month too.

My Dental insurance sucks so I have to pay a deductible and 50%. It could be worse though. It would be tough not having any Dental Coverage.

I still have the girls from your eggs, they are all broody in the same nest box. The noise they make even before I open it is awesome, they sound like little dinosaurs lol

That's funny, I have 3 sharing a box right now too. They refuse to be separated, I've tried giving them each a box, but they move the eggs back into the same one. They growl and screech at me when I reach into their coop. Little tyrants.
