Up here I'm getting only bantam and quail eggs. Sure glad the quail are crazy layers even without added light. Every once in a while one of my soon to be 7 year old barred rocks gives us an egg.

I would start a round of corid for all of them. From what I remember, they are the right age for cocci to be a problem.

Hi neighbors,
I posted awhile back that I was looking for homes for my Black Copper Marans Cross cockerels. I found homes for 4 of them, but I still have the two bantam crosses. I've decided to keep one of the bantams and now I'm looking for a good home for their papa, Desi Arnaz Rooster, whom my hens broody-hatched from a @Papa Brooder BCM egg. Desi is gorgeous and non-aggressive, but I think he's a bit too much rooster for my small semi-urban farm. He loves to crow, but I make him wear a collar and sleep in a man cave. I think there may be a better place for him out there.

Anyway, the link to my ad for Desi is below. Please pm me if you have any ideas for a good home for him. It's a hard decision for me! I also need a home for Frankie, the golden bantam boy.

The Bantam Cochin eggs are from a gal named Sarah Bethard who is on 530 poultry (I think, I am on like 5 different Northern California FB poultry pages.) Do you know her? She lives somewhere around where you live. I tried Nor Cal poultry but the stars never lined up for me. If I had a broody she had no eggs. Anyway, I may have to drive to Chico to get them one afternoon after school. She will ship but if I can swing it I would rather not have them shipped.

I don't know Sarah but all her pics show happy birds and a nice place.

I'd really like some Pita Pintas, SFH, Golden Cuckoo Marans, red Orps, or...? I'm willing to drive up to 1 1/2 hours from Chico to pickup. Please let me know if you, or someone you know, might be able to help me out. TIA!
