Wow, just candled the eggs I set in the bator on the 10th. 41 out of 42 eggs look great with veins and wiggly embryos! One is porous and it's hard to see if it's developing well. Doesn't look like a clear though, just can't tell for sure.

That is a big pullet egg. I sometimes get a 25G egg for the first one.

She's 24 weeks and it's darker than the egg she hatched from.

I'm very happy.

Well, no Marans eggs yet, but I got my first Easter Egger egg! I was going to use her to make Olive Eggers,and she already lays a light olive egg. Hopefully she'll make me a pullet or two this spring who lay darker olive eggs. My daughter was so excited to see it.

I am starting to get some nice eggs from my new Partridge Penedesenca pullets.
