I do still have some. I also have several barnyard mix pullets who have just started laying or are close to laying. They are beautiful girls that were broody raised so not as friendly as my brooder raised chicks. I am currently hatching Langshan chicks and just put my last hatch of the year in my incubator. They are Langshan, Pita Pinta, and Silver Penciled Plymouth Rock plus a few SPPR mixes. I debated not hatching them because I had a miscommunication with the boys who help collect the eggs at the farm. I only wanted to do a few hatches of Langshan but my helper thought that I wanted the eggs from all 3 pens collected. He didn't keep the eggs separated so in order to have one more hatch of Langshan, I set all of them.

These are some of my blue and black Langshan chicks! They are so much bigger than my Pita Pinta chicks. They look like little dinosaurs!

Thanks Ron, I guess I should have started sooner... I'm going to see if I can fine someone that is local that has hatched chicks that are older that are ready for the coop. When does the hatcheries start shipping again?

If you want to drive to Oakland, I've got 3 pullets (two 15 week old Wyandottes and a 12 week old leghorn) you can HAVE. They're broody hatched, so they're not "tame" but they should all be good layers.

That is very generous of you! This is such a nice community! Kern

And that offer is open to anyone. I really don't need three more layers and would love to rehome these girls. I have a friend in Petaluma that will take them if I can't find anyone else, but her orps are hatchmates of mine and they're just too BIG for these guys.

This is what a Wheaten Americauna looks like when she sticks her head into a pomegranate to eat it. I wish the picture was better as this beautiful birds face is now dark purple. Kern

Anyone have extra eggs they don't need? I have a broody and I wanna hatch a few eggs but my birds are all molting atm. Also anyone know why my drake pekin wouldn't be "getting the hang" of mating? I set one of the eggs and they aren't fertile
