Long shot here but anyone around here want a German Shepherd puppy? They came from two pure parents (farm dogs though, not registered or any if that nonsense). Both are really well tempered and smart dogs, big too, the mom is 90 pounds or so dad is 100+ ish. Granddad was at least 120, massive dog. The puppies are 3 or 4 weeks old now and will be ready around Feb 1st. 4 girls 6 boys. 3 of the puppies are chocolate and tan (aka liver and tan), all chocolate pups are female. PM me if you're interested.

Cute pups! Hope they get good homes. I love Sheps and have had 3 Rotties and a Border Collie but unfortunately these great working dogs are not my particular favorite to have around chickens. I still prefer guardian breeds rather than working or herding breeds around poultry.

Your momma is going to need a good rest after raising those rambunctious pups - bless her heart!

well we had 6" of rain in the last 36 hours here east of Placerville

well foothill peeps get prepared. at my spot my point forecast says 11-17" of snow and the map shows 12-18" we will see but
anyone in the upper foothill elevations over say Paradise , Penn Valley , Eastern Auburn and lower Placerville be prepared

Yikes! It's been wet down here too, but not that wet. We're getting a short break right now. Hope my volunteer cat comes out of hiding to eat. Didn't see her at all yesterday.

We are still undecided on a trip south. My folks are up at 5,000 feet. Getting over Siskiyou Pass, through My. Shasta, then up towards Lassen Park, then back again.
Along with all the snow forecasts they are predicting teens for overnight local lows. I don't have anyone to make sure there is liquid for the birds.
