What kind of chickens do you have?
I have five 10 week old Buff Orpington's and two 9 week old Rhode Island Reds
Since you asked and didnt specify who.
Well I have breeding flocks of Delaware and Pita Pinta
I also have an eclectic assortment of Buff Orps New Hampshires some EE's A Jersey "mini" Giant (hatchery bird) a Barred Holland and a Cream Legbar boy and girl who dont seem to mate with each other. I also have a couple of Buff Orp Pita Pinta Hybrids Im calling cocoa puffs as they come out chocolate brown as chicks. Im intentionally trying to hatch more of them this year to get a male to try to see what the offspring will look like.

Im growing out 3 new Welsummer pullets and some Lavender EE bantams

Anyone who wants hatching eggs for Pita Pinta or Delawares PM me (or possibly chicks)

I have to admit. I super new...10 weeks into Chickens that I bought at Jones Valley Feed. I did fall in love with the Lavender Orpingtons but I couldn't find any locally and I didn't want 15 of them.

She was sitting on the electrical cord for the overhead lights this morning. She flew out shortly after I opened the garage this morning but within a few minutes she came back and was sitting on the cord again. I think they usually lay 2 eggs (like pigeons) So she may be back to lay the second today because the first was yesterday. They are very pretty.

Mourning Doves are one of the gentlest birds I can think of. They're easily chased off by our little Silkies. Homing Pigeons are quite aggressive but Doves are very sweet and gentle. I don't mind them in the yard at all. Their little salmon-color feet are so cute.

They are so nice. I guess they will just have to deal with the nest being disturbed by the garage door at night and the morning since they went to rebuilding it. I put the egg back in it when the female left. The male is now sitting the nest I suspect the female to return tonight. I was reading that the female incubates evening and night the male morning to evening. They are very pretty and I just love the sound they make as they take off and land. Even their cooing is wonderful. A little haunting but beautiful still.

He has flavor of the month Orps. Seems to me. Not that his birds arent nice but just seems to offer everyflavor beans if you know what I mean

Yes, it seems like he has something different every year. I think he tries to go with what is popular. His birds don't always have perfect type but they are good sized and they have a nice temperament. They are waaaay better than any hatchery orps I have seen.

Also, he always has eggs or chicks available when my broody hens need them, and his eggs & chicks ship really well.
