Some eggs are harder to see into. What are you using to candle the eggs?

candle from the side and the other end to see if you can get more of the embryo. sometimes the embryo is more on one side too

Oh okay. I’ll do that, I only candled from the bottom

I agree but I put them all at the same time on August 17.

So I definitely believe you and your count- I just meant, well here is a poor screenshot of a video of our third batch (olive eggers) on day eight.

Different birds will grow a little differently.
What kind of eggs do you have?

I don't know what breed they are. I got 8 of them (Jumbo Eggs) from a local store similar to Trader Joe while the other one, I took from one of the eggs in the nesting box.

Here are some of the eggs that we candled last night 8/29. We did see all the black dots (embryos) moving. What do you think guys?

There are three with good veining. One looks like a blood ring but if there is an embryo moving in any of them keep them in the incubator.

I keep them in unless they smell or hare clear
