California - Northern

Of all the breeds I have had, the Pita Pintas are the best so far. They are calm and friendly and lay very nice eggs

Some sad day I'll lose my last little Silkie. I love the little buggers and would love to have a flock of them but they really are more pets than utility! But when that sad day happens losing my last docile little Silkie I would love to try Pita Pintas -- they come in a couple different colors I believe? I'm currently waiting for the Newcastles ban to lift so I can add a couple more Breda. Afterwards when the sweet little Silkie is gone, I'll try Pita Pinta since I've heard nothing but good about them!

BTW -- about how old are your Pintas and what other breeds are in the flock with them?

@PetRock has a breeding flock and plans on getting more from Greenfire farms. They have the black mottled currently. I do not know of the red mottled in the US at present.

I have one hen left and she is in with one Hyland white leghorn that I hatched from trader joes
