California - Northern

Thanks everybody! I love my layer flock just as much as my breeders. They are the first to greet me in the front of the house every morning, because they free range wherever, whenever. They get all the real good treats from the house mainly. Their an electric group!

Jeff your lawn looks good bro! The kids look like they are ready for a trip to the mountains!

Deb, did you figure out with Jason when you are coming over for bamboo?

I must admit, I'm pretty excited ..

A question for everyone.... I noticed on my 2+ year old delaware in my layer flock that she has one 1 inch spur - only one and I've never seen that on any of my hens. She's a pretty good layer.

Somehow in the years I've been with chickens I have not noticed that before. I think I'm going to take it off/trim it like you do with roosters...any thoughts?

I think it's about time to cull out my Mille Fleur Leghorn pen. I've got way too many roosters and hens, now need to pair divide up the pen. BUT it's really hard doing it by myself. Wish I had extra pair of eyes, OR 2! looking at these with me!

If anyone wants to come to the ranch.... let me know!
