Trying to figure out how to post some eggs up for auction. I am currently getting more eggs then I need to hatch.
I'm not the best at computer stuff. I went to the buy- sale- trade page and can't figure out ho to post.

I just went there.. go to the Chicken Hatching Eggs page - and up at the top of the page - below the headder there is a button that says "Create a New Classified".. it that what you were looking for? Let's see if the link works: https://www.backyardchickens.com/forums/threads/add/forumId/36

I KNEW you were up here and really close to me, from comments Mary The Sheriff has said elsewhere. Don't want to "out" your actual location, but I bet you're off that road meeting Mt. Aukum Road by the "community" mail boxes, where somebody sometimes puts eggs for sale on an honor system... The intersection is opposite that house on the hill where the residents put up a wonderful light display for Christmas.

I'm within a quarter mile (or less) of Gray's Corner.

Are you off the opposite side of the road from Gray's? Moved up here a couple of years ago? Or am I thinking of someone else..,

I agree....the GQF 1588 incubator works fabulous

Do you or anyone else happen to know if you can fit shoe box sized plastic containers into this model? Finding a single incubator that can serve all my purposes is quite difficult without breaking the bank.

Yup! Well, I bought the place in May 2011 but didn't move in until July that year, spawning the Great Chicken War of Somerset, reference of which to Ray Nutting will cause a visible reaction. He mediated one or two of the skirmishes.

Oh! I hadn't heard that we had a chicken war! Ray'll probably be at our crab banquet volunteer thank you dinner in a few weeks... should I behave and not mention it to him? Probably not good to try to give him a nervous tic!

I think another person up here may have told me you'd bought and moved nearby.... Hhandbasket maybe?

The inside length and width would fit it, but not sure about the height. I think it is 7" tall, but the heating/fan element hangs down pretty low.

ETA: 7" is the outside height. Styrofoam, water tray, and hardware cloth floor take up an inch or two on the bottom. Top has the heating element and fan hanging down at least two to three inches, but only in the very center.

ETA - again: Just noticed this is Post# 16,000!

ETA - What the heck?? It was 16,000 last night and then it dropped to 15,998??? Hmm... it was pretty late when I was posting this.

I moved the four Crele Penes that hatched last night to the brooder. I candled the two remaining eggs and one still had a moving chick in it! It looked to be in the correct position so I will leave it alone. No pip but this one will probably hatch at 2:30 am and keep me awake too.

Off for jury duty today, I wonder if having eggs due to start pipping wednesday is a valid excuse? Just hope that if chosen it will be a quick one. I've never been called for District Court before. The birds were sure confused by my doing chicken chores last night rather than this morning. Good day all!
