They do! And we hatched some!

Mind blown. :th That's sweet!

I am also one who has hatched fertile eggs from Trader Joe's Market.

..was shopping today in Placerville and saw fertile eggs at Save-Mart! Brown eggs, too, so I wouldn't get White Leghorns. Hmmm. Double hmmm. For next time I incubate.

More Sprinkles! He is the easiest to photograph and is such a little model!

... and more Blue. She is an Orpington but her daddy's a Jubilee we believe... so far.

LOVING the colors coming in on her wings!

Ah, that's a bummer. Poor little eggs. I'm setting eggs April 25th and will have room, though. I would be happy to try and incubate them if you wanted! Maybe I could pick a few eggs from Miss Molly and piggyback on shipping as a trade off?

thanks, but the reality of my life these days is i have a hard time giving baby chicks the attention they deserve -- hence my interest in having broodies do all the work. so, i will wait until another one goes broody -- i'm sure one (or more) will sooner or later, and i can get additional hatching eggs then. it's not like i'm going to have any shortage of chicks as it is -- i'm lining up friends and neighbors to share them with! i'd just really like to have a few isbars at some point... and Molly's project birds also intrigue me. so, we'll get there!

You will probably want to keep the"EE"(sorry, I would call him an Ameraucana). Poultry breeders like Chickee have the friendliest chickens.

I would call them Ameraucana as well, but EE is a lot shorter than " my mixed colored Ameraucana that some would deem an Easter Egger"... LOL. IMO they're Ameraucana's as both parents are too... as opposed to being crosses. Don't understand that, but was happy to find out that what the feed store sells are NOT Ameraucanas before I bought them and to have found BYC and Chickee :)

AHHHH I just hope we only have one rooster than so I don't have to choose and find one a good home.
