California - Northern

Looks like two marans crosses on the left and the one on the right looks like an isbar.

the confusing thing is, there's a second one that looks like the middle baby in this picture, but only two isbar/marans eggs hatched, and two isbar -- so i've been guessing the one on the right is an isbar, but one of the other three is too, and not sure who!

I swear I'm going to hang a calander in the coops. Yesterday I said I was expecting a bantam hatch on Tuesday. Look what was in the coop when I got home today.

There are 5 more under her I hope to see soon. The chick is a dutch/OEGB mix.

I use google calendar to set dates and alarms... its the only thing I have found to keep me from forgetting!

Picture time! I wish I had a nice camera, alas I am stuck with my cell phone for now.

Most of the bunch enjoying some outside sun time. Herding these guys back into the coop was interesting...

Grocery store hen - she still needs a name... any suggestions?

The blue orpington roo, looking for a good home.

Lucy - my prettiest girl

Jojo - but I can't remember if this is 1 or 2, at least I can tell them apart now! One has a black toenail. I'm still hoping that he is a girl...

Thanks Deb, I will pick up some Blue Kote tomorrow. How exactly do I use it, and how much?
The bleeding stopped after I separated him from the others via the circle of chicken wire, it keeps them apart but he's still warm and not too stressed because he's still in the brooder with his sisters

Alright Chickee, you have me intrigued. I have a couple of Wheaton EE (Ameraucana?) that have slightly different color variations. What color would you call these gals? And yes, those are really their names.

My EE's are bigger, 6 weeks, and do not have the beard yours does. I sure hope it comes soon. I love this color though. I have one white with some black and two brown and black.

I had the exact same thing. I had eggs due on Tues. I went to pull them out to lock them down last night. When I looked in the cabinet there was a poult on the bottom and second one with it's head sticking out of it's shell. And several more pips. This morning I have 4 turkey poults and a duckling so far (it was a 28 day set - all poults & ducklkings).

It's just a spray for antiseptic and it covers all the red so the birds won't be attracted to pick anymore. Watch out for the staining. I had to move a picked chick last night from a grow out. I sprayed her and she touched her head to my arm. Last night I showered, looked at my arm right now, I have the telltale purple spot, LOL. It looks like a bruise or a birthmark

Good luck. Just spray as much as you need to cover. Do it outside! If I remember, you live with parents, you would be KILLED, LOL
