We just might have to do an order for the people up here in the foothills

I would like some dark brown and silver leghorns. Maybe 5 of each plus/minus.
I am located in Santa Rosa.

Check in with @juststruttin She is working on an order there.

We may have enough for four orders now! Lake\woodland\sac; Modesto; Sanoma\Santa Rosa; Sierra Foothills.

Urch is supposed to have very nice Dark Brown and Silver Leghorns too.

Inspired by our wonderful photographers and their lovely birds, I bring you "dirty birds" Featuring some of my Dels and friends after the first rain of fall. Keep in mind these are not supposed to be laced. But snowy white with black barring

Clockwise from top Dottie, Ozzie, Harriet, Chicka Boom Boom and Buckbeak...see her red sore wing bows

Dottie and Ozzie

Della...whutcha doin???

Della sporting her winter head smudge.

I feel good about chicken management today. Buckbeak... my over mated girl... removed that saddle you can see in the pic treated her bows with a purple Rooster Booster goo that is supposed to heal and stop pecking. Kept her away from Ozzie and gave her a high protein snack in a dog crate while he was out ranging. Ordered her a new apron

Della seemed back to normal no additional discharge vent looked normal

Let Jamie Lee Curtis and Joan Baez out this p,m, and they put themselves away tonight.

Chickens are funny there seems to always be something going on. The more you have the more you have going on :)

You are doing a good job! It has been a productive day for you.

That Boy has a crazy comb too.

Very nice flock too

Thanks Ron...I have to admit having just 1 pen with 6 hens and 1 roo was way easier but...this is more fun. Ozzie is a looker! I know he isn't SOP but he is really coming into his own as a roo. If he could just start chasing the peafowl out of his pen I would be 100% pleased...I bet he will be doing it come spring.

beautiful birds!

for those of you who use EcoGlows, as the chicks get larger (mine are about 16 days old, there are 7 of them), do you raise the warmer panel up a notch, or do they just keep squeezing underneath it at the lowest setting? does it ever get too hot for them under there?

thanks!

I would love to have a calendar with just your pics in it!  :)

I have the bigger one and the legs turn on mine so I can raise it a little at a time. If a whole notch is so much that they aren't at all close to the heat surface that might be too much, but you could raise it a little by putting the legs on something ....... Like a half size brick or something like that????

I would think if it is too hot they go more towards the outside edges.
