Anyone notice if Ameracaunas are more aggressive? They are the only ones the seem to target my 5 week old chicks. They go out of they're way. Even EE I noticed seem to be more dominant in the other pen.The Marans couldn't care less. They act like the young ones aren't even there most the time.
Congrats on all the cute babies!
I think it depends on where they are from. Hatchery birds are often more aggressive while ones from Breeder stock that are intended for poultry shows are nicer.

It is hard to get a ribbon if the Judge is attacked!

Cacklejoy so sorry to hear about your birds =(
It was pretty bad but we've been hatching babies and that's fun. Until I had to cull one for having its insides fall out.

Normally the chickens add so much HAPPY around here. It's been a tough haul this week!

It has been a mix of Good and Bad for you!

It is sad when a chick has to be culled.

I hope the year goes better now!

I'm so sorry! That is a hard one!! Hope the others that have bloody naval will be ok. They usually are, so I am surprised the one had its insides come out

I ended up with only 2 pure, blue wheaten Ameraucana chicks out of the 8. Wouldn't it be great if they are both pullets, so you can look forward to having them?
