The line might be a Blood line. That is a dead egg. Watch it though.

The top and bottom need to average 99.5 for a still air. 101.5 at the top and 99 on the bottom would work. Did I give you the Chooks Chicks guide to still air incubation link?

A blood line sounds right. I didn't even see a yoke. Should I remove it?

You did. I have three thermometers in there but on the turner in three different places. I don't have them in a top mid low position. I'm not really sure how to get them to stay.

At 7 days, they can sometimes look like a blood ring and then resolve into normal veining. I do not remove them until day 14 unless they start smelling or oozing.

You are doing very well and seeing good development on schedule on day 7 is an indication that the temperatures are fine in your incubator.

Thanks Ron! Breath and wait another 7 days :)

I do have to say seeing the little baby in there moving was AMAZING! I couldn't believe it. I've been reading a lot on their development... I actually started talking the the little bean :) lol

Wait till you see the first pip!

and then start chirping at the incubator to encourage hatching....

I am thinking of adding another R-com
My bator is full and I am looking at some tempting crele and black penedesenca eggs and
my silver Ameraucana and Crele Penedesenca have been together 3 weeks now I think was thinking of doing a test hatch to see what comes out.

It might be time for a cabinet incubator. Dickey, GQF or Brinsea. You can hatch in the R-com.

LOL - just left the brooder room after doing exactly that - chirping at the pipping eggs in the bator! I have calico crele polish hatching - can't wait to see their puffball heads pop out!
