If you ahve a bit of brewers yeast or something with niacin in it, add that, but non med chick is good.

You are an evil person.. and yes, it does NOT work...
Sounds good on the brewer's yeast.

And…if i don't see pics, it just didn't happen. How can I believe you?? This is called "taking one for the team". All in the name of science…. or something like that

We have had our share of accident skunk catches over the years. I have also heard that if you approach from the front they wont spray either....that is if you can keep them from turning around. There are a lot of Youtube videos on how to release them without getting sprayed. We usually (and I actually mean DH) hold a tarp in front and approach the cage that way, then wrap the cage in the tarp for transport. Supposedly if you shoot them in the head they die before they can spray. Haven't tried that one yet. I think the neighbors would call the police if they heard a gunshot....

Ahh, so another control group for testing. I will have to pass the torch on this one as well.

Youtube has been an amazing learning tool. Even my DH uses it for fixing heavy equipment or trucks. He knows most of it, but there's always that ONE thing you can't figure out by yourself

No...it can't be calibrated. But the salt water method @chiqita suggested seems like it will give a more acurate reading and then I could just adjust it to compensate for the difference. I don't really have time to order a new one for this clutch since they are due to hatch Friday. I don't know if TSC carries them.

Well, we didn't try and shoot it, but none of that worked for me. I started pre covering it if I think I will get a skunk, at least im sprayed less.

Luckily my Genesis has a built in one that is only 10% low.

I do have several hygrometers and more thermometers. I need to get a new battery cover for one of my Spot checks though.

But they would be spraying away from you and not at you. Still don't want my yard resking of skunk for the next few months.

We use the Humane traps so I'm not sure they could get their little butts high enough to spray over their heads, but I don't want to find out!

They actually spay over their heads! It would be hard to do in a trap for sure.

I have seen them doing it when I was growing up. Luckily it only got the dog though and even luckier it was not my Dog.

That open gate in the fox picture is pretty scary. So is the shot of the possum fangs! Are those birds sleeping in the pens behind the fence?
No birds were in the pen while the gate was open and no birds were harmed. :DI think it's amazing how much wildlife comes around, especially now because of the drought. -Kathy
