I have hand-raised hatchling finches before. I use a TB sized syringe and a feeding canula. With them they are naked though so you can see the food go into the crop. They also generally open their mouths for the food unless they are not doing well.

Wow, that's smaller than any I've done. Smallest I've done are pigeons and they're pretty hard to kill, lol. For them I use a 1ml syringe and a modified rubber catheter (cut end off, melt sharp edges).

That's not a good sign. Do you have a heating pad or an incubator? If not, you could try warming some towels and wrapping him in those, but you'd have to really monitor his temp and make sure he doesn't get too hot.

Same as the others. Hopefully this will be the last one that has this problem. It has made it longer so you may still save it if you can keep it warm.

So sorry, but it could mean that he's dying.

If he isn't dying, warming him up might help, but it's been my experience that when one is cold and the others are warm that the one is dying. I don't mean to sound insensitive, I just don't know how to write in a sensitive way. I really do hope that he'll be okay.

I warmed up a fleece hoody in ghe dryer and have him laying in it. ive been feeding him a watery mash of crumbles off a baby spoon amd hes eating iy. he keeps looking like hes trying to burp after he eats that cant be good can it?

You can also put rice in a tube sock and microwave that. Make sure it not too hot to the touch.
