I have an egg question. since it has been warmer in my house my bator keeps going up in temp now and then (highest was 110 and i had to open it to let heat out and the lowest has been 80) will that affect thr hatching? The ones i can candle abd see through are moving and growing the EE i have no idea. will it make them hatch early/late or what?

The temperature high or low has to be long term. Short times of highs or lows will not change the hatch time.

I hope they hatch for you!

The bantam chick is moving like no tomorrow the other is moving but not as much. and the EE i jist lookked is all black inside like fully black other thrn the air cell is that good or bad?

Where we will really make our bucks is hats for bald quails.

My feed store has a customer looking for quail. Carson city Nevada . Would you mind me passing your contact info? I only have 6, no one is laying ( I think my coop is too shady) and no one is bald... I haven't dragged myself to ckeck for foam . Blech! I'll have to get over that.

One of the fb pages I follow has a post about a Duck farm that is loosing its land. Ill repost all the info when Im at the computer. The pennsilua humane society is trying to organise trasport and get everyone adopted. They are khaki campbell and peking and mixes of those ... very beautiful! I know a few of you need ducks!!

The EE egg is probably thicker and harder to see into.

When do they hatch? If past day 18, you need to increase the humidity and keep the incubator closed.

Good luck!

Ron they are on day 15 i figure they will hatch around the 6th of march. though the way things are going now they wont have any buddies to join in the brooder. ive lost 11 and now one of my last two black silkies is weak and just laying there in the brooder i hand fed him and his crop is full but hes just getting weaker. i doubt he wil make it to morning
