I have a beautiful partridge orp that lays pink eggs with little white flecks on them. Maybe she's a cross. I got her from JustStruttin (Deann) in Novato.
For those of you with Pita Pintas, do you have the brown or the black (or both)?
I had never heard of them until I found this group. They are gorgeous.
I am using two to get humidity to 35%. I fill all the channels to get humidity up for hatching.
I shoot for 65 to 70 percent.
The storage containers fit like this:
There is a notch cut in the top of the lid. The cup is filled about half way and the lid is snapped on. The container goes in on it's side. Cut the opening like the one on the right and it will help hold it still. Even the one on the left does not spill.
Here is a picture from the top so that you can see how it fits next to the turner:
When I had all those eggs incubating, I had 4 eggs down next to the containers that I hand turned.
Thank you Ron. The one of the right, the tab is on the bottom correct? I will try it again tomorrow. Those pics do help a lot. I also cut my holes much bigger than what you have. This helps to get it right
Total cuteness!!!
So you are having probs with the Orps( I thought thats the breed), but not the Seramas? I thought Seramas were like the hardest to hatch. Look like you're doing great over there with all of those fluff butts!

I finally looked because of you! Lol. I want them!
The pullets are a joy. The Boys are amazing so far too. they are big! and mine is good with the Girls. Their Dad is too and his Brother that @PetRock has is a very good flock manager.
