California - Northern

Day 7 results; 6 clears, 1 blood ring, 1 early quitter, 2 have veins but couldn't find embryo, 1 of them did move though. 18 Dancing embryos and 2 more with veins that I think are developing but I couldn't confirm movement. 66% on shipped eggs is good for me.

Thanks ladies.....Call ducks may be louder than a roosters crow...I'm pretty sure they are......and it is the females in this case. Driving to a show in the middle of the night and having the Calls all of a sudden go off is quite thrilling if you don't expect it. Yup, it is survival of the fittest here. It was very difficult in the beginning, but well worth it after a bit. Birds pretty much die of old age here. I have a white Call duck that is 16 years old and some China geese that are over 20 years old and still producing.

We travel with a roo that starts as soon as he goes in the crate. I'll make sure DD sees your post since she keeps telling me she wants calls. She is also basing this on the cute small billed ones, the ones we was at the PNPA show last year didn't win her over.

That is good so far!

50% on shipped eggs is a good total hatch rate.

I am SOOO ticked off!
I posted an ad on craigslist for my birds for sale. With pics that are mine.

Then I notice someone copies my title and puts a "RE:" in front of it. And claims the birds in the pics aren't mine in her post.

I politely responded telling the person that these ARE my birds. No response, but the ad showed up again. You won't find these pics anywhere else but in my profiles. And I did watermark it.
I took those pictures myself. I contacted craigslist and it seems for now, the ad is down. It looked like it was down before and up again, so I don't know how this goes.

I may have to post pics of my son with my birds showing ownership, I shouldn't have to.
I'm taking down of this site all my pics and re-posting with watermarks.

I'm feeling really hopeful. All but 2 were showing strong movement and good veining. The rocks are starting to develops saddlebag air cells but not as bad as the EO eggs from OK.

I don't understand people that take the time & effort to do dumb stuff like that - what is their goal? Just to create mischief? Dude, get a life.

If they thought my photos were stolen from somewhere else, they could have contacted me and craigslist. But I didn't hear a word. I just saw an ad defaming me.
I guess it didn't' cross my mind someone would do that, and caught me off guard. But it's Friday, so I won't let something like that bum the day.

Wow! That's pretty messed up.

They're probably trying to sell their birds of the same breed so they want to set you off track somehow in competition. Who knows but no bueno. I use to sell cars on craigslist from swap meets and other people with the same type of vehicle of sort use to flag my adds. Those swap meet people are ruthless like that. The reason why I know is because when I'd go to theses meets with my husband you could hear the men gossiping on how to sell there cars and this was a fairly common method they used.
