This one possibly cockerel. The rest pullets. My guesses.
Put them in a box or small cage with one side open, in order to photograph them. Or, scatter some grain and hold down the shutter or video them and choose the best frames as still shots.

Wouldn't be nearly as effective if her head wasn't backwards. She's still pretty to me.

Karen is.......LOLAnother reason to raise Pita Pintas!!! I have a bunch of 2 week old PPs and eggs in the incubator if anyone is interested!![]()
I am so sad....had the worst hatch ever. Out of 14 shipped eggs only had 6 make it to lockdown and only one hatched. All the others were dead inside the eggs fully formed including 3 from my own flock. I didn't do anything different than my previous incubation and had great results last time. It really sucked. Ok done complaining now. At least I got 2!![]()
Thanks. Going to have to work on it. The first one ran right off the roof as my daughter was trying to get another for the photos and landed on her head. Scared the living daylights out of my daughter. (and the chicken probably) I don't think she meant to run off the roof. They are not shy about exploring whenever they get out. I'm afraid they will pick up some things they shouldn't "eat". They did a number on a lizard that was trying to go through the wire. I'm surprised it escaped with its life. This one possibly cockerel. Spanish breeds in General are hardy. Penedesenca seem to have no issues and are also resistant. except my one Sandhill hen which I am not sure what she died ofThe Spanish breeds from Megan are resistant too. The Basque and Pita Pintas have had no trouble with anything yet.
nice
I was going to add the Penes to the list.Spanish breeds in General are hardy. Penedesenca seem to have no issues and are also resistant. except my one Sandhill hen which I am not sure what she died of
