What could cause the scrambled eggs?

That's just the egg has started to degrade. It loses the membrane around the yolk, letting it pour out.

Okay, so I need to send in a submission form with my blood sample for the lab. Did I fill all this out right? I assume I leave the "For Lab Use Only" section blank. But what is "Movement Sample", "CAHFS Contact", and "Production Class"?

Here are a couple of better pictures of the BLRW chicks that had it to hatch. I know the light one is splash, but would like some feedback on whether the other chick is blue or black.

I'm no expert, but it looks like a blue to me. I could definitely be wrong, though.

I think "Movement Sample" is if the sample is from a bowel movement. Not sure what the other 2 would be for.

CAHFS Contact= The California Animal Health and Food Safety Contact @UC Davis. Since you are not part of a trial or anything like that, I think you'd leave it blank. Production class you can likely leave blank, or put in 'ornamental' or 'companion animal'. Movement- my first thought was a stool sample, too, but I'm not sure.

And yes, leave the lab portion blank.

Thanks guys. I will put "companion animal" under "Production Class" and leave the rest blank. I'm getting everything done and ready tonight so that I'm not scrambling to do it tomorrow. I expect I can pay my vet to box up the sample for me with a cold pack, but if not I'm prepared to do it myself. Just went to the FedEx store and Walmart, got two ice packs and a box to ship in, and tomorrow I will line it with the foam core if the vet isn't able to box up the blood for me. Don't want to cut up my foam core board unless I need to. But I now have all the supplies I need to ship, and the ice packs are in the freezer so they'll be ready to go tomorrow if necessary. I'm prepared! And very, very nervous. How long does it usually take the results once they receive the blood?
