California - Northern

My numbers are going the right way, in the last two days I've sold fourteen hens, thirteen roosters, four ducks and four chicks. I have someone else scheduled to get a chick this afternoon, another rooster and two hens to go on Tuesday and six more hens and three chicks to go next Thursday.

Now if you don't count the seventeen chicks I hatched over the weekend or the call duck egg in lockdown, things are looking good.

Don't look at that other tray of 30 eggs in the cabinet or anything being collected on the kitchen counter.

I love chicken Math!

Help! This hen has been way over mated! My cockerel won't stop... I separated her. She's exhausted and hurting. Do you think if she rests and stays away from men she'll recover?

My goodness! I go to my girlfriends house for the day and come back to a thousand new pages to read through on this thread.

Checked the FedEx tracking and it says that my blood sample was delivered at 10:17am this morning, so hopefully it arrived nice and cold/usable. They didn't contact me to say otherwise so I assume it's fine. I think I just worry too much about these things.

Gave the hens their last shots today, except for Splash who still has 3 days left as she didn't start treatment until yesterday. Once Splash is done with treatment, is it safe to put the non-sick birds(who were also treated) back in with the ones that were showing symptoms? I didn't see any symptoms in the sick birds today.
I have something going thru my flock to. It seems many people are. I had someone set to take my Roo, but then noticed he has something going on. I have been keeping him in the shed at night to keep him from annoying the neighbors and then moving him out to a separate pen after 10 AM. When I picked him up tomput him in the pen I notices a lot of fluid on my arm suddenly. I don;t know if I just pushes on his crop and pushed the water out or it was from respiratory problems. A couple of the girls are also making gurgly noises and have wet sneezes too, so I told the person who was to take the Roo that we need to postpone until he is over it.. I am treating hom and 2 others, with Tylan50, but am now hearing a couple of others, wo it looks like they will all end up needing it. I am thinking the water soluable version would have been much easier....

Quote: That looks like a great idea, but I'm not sure it would work for me with the FF I am giving. I have to be able to remove the feeder and wash it between fills.. I think if I just raise the height as they grow it should work pretty well. The hole for the pipe for the water would work great though! I think I will figure out a spot for that so I can supply both sides. Thanks for the great idea!

Quote: I don't think THAT is going to happen. It's sort of like telling people they can't bring produce into the state, but not bothering to check when they cross the border

Quote: I wonder if you can call and have them add the other tests. I know they do it with Dr's offices all the time.

What egg in the cabinet?? I don't see any eggs in the cabinet....therefore they do not exist. Neither do the ones pipping in my Genesis right now.......
