I don't have a problem, I don't have a problem, I don't have a problem....my bator is FULL. I actually had 3 extra eggs that wouldn't fit in the bator. I grabbed three white ones to give to my family to eat - I almost gave them 3 Tolbunt Polish eggs(that have already been incubating for a few days) instead of 3 Trader Joe's eggs! I only realized I took out the wrong ones when I started wondering why the eggs were warm. @PapaBrooder gave me 6 extra EE eggs! I realized 15 minutes after setting them that I had set them upside down, skinny side up, because that's the way they had been set/labeled in the carton lol! Glad I caught my mistake.

Haha my last hatch I set 46 eggs and I got this look from my boyfriend like "um honey what if they all hatch?" Interestingly enough the six eggs that i laid flat and didn't turn very often all hatched. I had to unplug the incubator and put it away after that hatch because I definitely had a problem. But those showgirls are making me want to hatch again lol

Although my preference has always been to d'Anvers.  I prefer CL birds.

I don't have D'uccles, Lorilynn farms had them, she's in Rogue River but I haven't seen any posting lately. I try to stay away from feather footed breeds, rain, red clay and feathers are not a good combination.

Got the preliminary report from Darla's necropsy, waiting on the final report. They said I'll have it Monday. Will someone please translate this to English for me? What caused Darla to pass?

Laboratory Findings/Diagnosis
- Salpingitis, peritonitis, salpingoperitonitis, chronic, ongoing
- Free intra-abdominal eggs with degeneration and adhesions
- Coelomitis, peritonitis, caseonecrotizing
- Salpingitis with intraluminal caseous contents

Case Summary
Microscopy confirmed the gross diagnosis of severe salpingitis/peritonitis/salpingoperitonitis in this chicken. Avian influenza and
salmonella noses salmonellosis are ruled out and aerobic bacterial cultures are pending. The results will be forwarded in a final
report.

Gross Observations
Examined is the carcass of a female chicken in fair body condition with severe autolysis. The pectoral muscles are
straight. There are minimal adipose tissue stores throughout the body. The coelomic cavity contains caseous material
free within the abdominal region. There is a soft-shelled egg free in the distal abdomen and another egg, wrinkled caseous
appearing, green-yellow, mildly adhered to the serosa of the intestines. In the shell gland region, there is crumpled, slightly caseous to mucoid, small, measuring about 2 x 1 conglomerate. The tissues overall are green discolored
(autolysis). The lungs are congested. The liver is severely pale, as well as the kidneys. There are active ovarian follicles .
The bursa is not visible.

It sounds like an egg broke inside the hen and caused and infection(peritonitis). They did not find salmonella or avian influenza and are waiting for a culture to grow to see if there was bacteria like e coli.

It is good news! It is not something that will make the other chickens sick.
