Who is warnerranch1 on ebay, out of Santa rosa?

I don't think she is on BYC. She has current craigslist ads for English Orpington chicks and Light Sussex (under rare heritage chicks). She also has a website for Warner Ranch. Her place looks very clean and the orpy chicks I got from her were huge, but alas cockerels, so no longer with us. Can't remember her name... Tracy maybe.

What color would you say this Orpington is? Had trouble getting her true shade on my phone camera, so I took shade and sunlight pics to help ( I hope).

In shade-

In sun

So you can see the shafts of her feathers

She is markedly different from my lightest blue or the lavenders, but I haven't taken a contrast photo yet.

It is hard to tell. I would guess a type of lavender.

It's possible that it was something else, maybe a mild bacterial infection that opened the door for coccidiosis, but that's just a guess. Amprolium is super safe and very hard to overdose, so why not try? That's what I would do if it were mine and the dose of the mixture above I would use is .074ml per 100 grams once a day for 3 days or maybe .037ml twice a day for 3 days.

So would the 1 week old chick weigh 100 grams? Not sure if I can find my scale

Okay, thanks!... some of the peafowl people are looking for ways other than dust to treat lice and mites.

The regular frontline I could only find in spray bottle. Was told not to use the plus.
Ron mentioned the generic has regular frontline in the packets. I bought it once . They recalled it for the cats for some reason . That kind of bothered me. I think cars were getting sick on generic but not regular . If I remember correctly

So, I have a weird question. This is my first flock, and I have 6 Hens and 1 Boy. They were all born in March. Yesterday morning when I went to let them out of the coop and into the run, I picked up one of my hens to pet her. As soon as I put her down my Rooster came running over to her pecked her then mounted her in what I THINK was an attempt to mate?? I didn't think much about it till this morning when I went out there again this morning, picked up one of my girls and HE DID IT AGAIN to the one i had picked up. What the heck??? Is he mating to show me who is boss? Or is he just being mean to the girls.
He is super friendly and has never shown aggression to me. Even eats out of my hands and follows me around. But this was NEW behavior. Being new to chickening, I was kind of mortified. What do you think is going on?

Yes, that is what he is doing. The pullets are not ready yet? If he starts to hurt them you may need to separate them for a month or so.

Thanks, I think the girls are ready or close anyway. They are getting really red combs and are 20 weeks old yesterday…. I guess I will just leave his girls alone and stop ticking him off. :)

Show him that you are the boss. It works better that way in the long run. He is a Cockerel and will be the flock master. It will be a relationship between both of you taking care of the Hens, if that makes sense.

What breed are the chickens?

The hens are Buff Orptingtons and the Rooster is A Big Blue Orptington. Suggestions on How to show him I am the boss?
