That's what I thought, just wasn't sure. I know the turkey can be louder than the rooster so just wanted to make sure. Having trouble finding literature on it, thanks.
Noise is it's own ordinance usually. It won't matter if or how many are allowed if they are too loud and disturbing the peace. Then there's setbacks from houses and fence lines plus sanitation. The best thing is to make your neighbors like your animals then they won't complain! Or blackmail them. Did I say that out loud?

My coop just got a remodel - took out the baffle that sectioned off an egg box area and put two roost boards in all the way across:
I changed the closet rod to a 4" board at on at 3" high for Henry the LB and he got on by himself! He had been sleeping on the floor. I'm not sure 4" width is big enough for his HUGE feet. Will my Australorp get as big as my Light Brahma? If so, I may have to make a Large Fowl roost board as Henry is kind of squished against the doors.
The higher roost board in back is at 12" and is 6" wide. Not much change there except for the extra foot of room. This is the preferred roost of the "not-so-Littles" who are almost as big as Penny the EE, who claims the other end of that roost.
Quote: Sorry he didn't make it. Did you mention what their poop looked looked like? IMO, for the most part their are two types of poop, regular poop and cecal poop. Regular poop is the one they do the most and it should be firm with a white cap. Cecal poops are less frequent and usually darker. I mention this because there are a couple of websites that people on BYC tell others to go to for examples of poop and quite a few of those pictures of normal poop are wrong!
This poop is *never* normal in my flock, but it's labeled as normal on "the poo page". There were six very sick peachicks at Farmers that had poop like this. Three died, so I asked for their dead bodies and shipped them off to Davis and the necropsy found severe coccidiosis on all three.
When I see a poop like that it's usually coccidiosis and once it was blackhead (not all blackhead poops are yellow). Other ones that people say are normal are the ones with "shed intestinal lining". I guess just one wouldn't bother me, but more than one and I worm and treat for coccidiosis.
Feeding tubes come in "French" sizes from 3-34. The smaller the number, the smaller the tube. The smallest one I use is an 8 and I use that on all baby chicks. I think metal crop tubes are sized in gauges, so for those the smaller the number, the larger the tube.

I really didn't get a look at his poop. He had been out in the coop with the others up until shortly before he died. The pullet that I sent to Davis had 2 BMs while she was in the hospital cage. They were very liquidy (watery) with a bit of grainy looking solids....sort of like ash in them.
I have looked online for the feeding tubes but only seem to be able to find the smaller ones....up to about 18 or 20 on most websites. I think one had 22, but none any bigger than that. I checked the link you posted earlier but only saw the clear nasogastric and gastrotomy ones.
