Check out strombergs. If you have wire, these will work:

http://www.strombergschickens.com/prod_detail_list/watering-cage-cups

poke around on the site--They have others that will attach to the coop.

Water is a problem if it leaks or splashes into the coop.
On the water I might use the small cups under a Coke bottle nipple feeder. (I used something like that in my brooder under my nipple feeders there)

As for feed I will probably set up something Like the bucket no mess feeder but only use a 3 gallon bucket.

Im trying to get my forage box set up in the run still. Too many projects not enough time (or energy after a long day at work)

The boys in the garage are getting louder and longer in their crowing . And one of the Pitas outside has just started to crow.

I need to get my rooster collars on.

I ordered an extra large one yesterday.

Found a few feather lice on two pullets sooooo here starts fall cleaning. ( Apple hill will have to wait)

But I feel like I may have something off in my treatments and since my 2 month old will be wailing for me the entire time , I greatly desire fast and furious treatment for feather lice...

The oil drops for the skin is called ? And are placed ? And has egg hold?

Pyrethrin is the More toxic choice?

Permethrin is the les toxic choice which is a spray and is used both on coops AND on the birds????? (This is my big confusion)

Permectrin- not sure on purpose and it forms ?!?

Does someone have a spreadsheet because I read snippets here and there and it all swims around as overwhelming and I can't get it straight!

I won't mind dusting in the spring but it will take longer and I need quick this time.

Is sand easier to keep bug free?
Have it in 2 coops so far and love it!
Not sure about bugs though.
For some reason my dog likes to eat the clean sand.
Gotta get her vitamins, guessing she's craving some minerals.

I'm always curious to see how these work out for people (because I can totally see myself trying one out in the future).

I found it chafed some... I prefer to wear good old fashion leather...

Pyrethrin is the natural form of the insecticide derived from chrysanthemums.

Permethrin in the synthetic form of pyrethrin.

Permectrin has permethrin in it. It's a sprayable form.

I've used the first 2 in powder form, with no ill effects on the birds (including tiny Seramas). The last one was in a flea spray that I used on the coop (not the animals). Thankfully, no ill effects on anything but the red mites and a couple of poor spiders.

Got a call from the taxidermist... he's looking for 6-12 mature roosters or pretty hens to purchase for his next  taxidermy class. PM me your contact info if you have something to sell in the $10 each range.

Pics or it didn't happen. Leather prefered.
