I don't know what I was thinking. Must have been wishful thinking.

Hi Chickee,

I visited the ABC Website you suggested in addition to a few others. I am a researcher by trade and by heart. I never had done too much research on Ameraucana's but did know there was a difference from an Auracana and a generic term for a Heinz 57 which has the blue egg gene called an Easter Egger. What I found were not only several pictures of purebred Ameraucana roos but the ones that my boy looks like has a name and they are called "Splash Ameraucana", apparently not as common but still purebred. Thank you, for calling out on this. It encouraged me to do some research. That's always a good thing.
are you looking for some? I have 2 Brown Red Bantam Ameraucana . I would call them easter eggers though since they are mostly black without much red on the head. This pops up but they will still lay blue tinted eggs.
Mine came from Jerry Segler

Jason I know someone who was looking for a couple of them a few months back. I will pass on the info. If you send me your email I can give it to her. I don't think she is on BYC but I might be wrong about that.

@tridentk9 et al:
You all are funny! You took me back to a party my freshman year in college where a guy offered my very cute and very inexperienced friend the opportunity to go listen to Whale Songs in his dorm room...only at UCSC...

My bantam cockerel (Cosmo) has been trying with the pullets but Ike hears the squawking and runs over chest bumps my little guy and sends him flying. Cosmo at that point knows what's what and gives up..until the next time and we repeat. I am so grateful that Ike so far is so tolerant of Cosmo. I hope it lasts. He is a cute little guy.

haha what year was that?

In other news, I have tendinitis in my wrist. I have to wear a wrist brace which makes Sign Language very difficult.

I do too, and after trying everything on earth (rest, masssge, acupuncture, tens machine) the best solution I've found is taking a liquid ionic magnesium supplement. Within 48 hours, my hand worked again. It's not 100% (and probably never will be), but it's functional and not a burning ball of pain.

We are all becoming magnesium deficient. Even the reference numbers have gone down from 1950s for what is normal.

I started taking magnesium citrate from Costco and am already sleeping better.
