The new feathers were growing back in the day after I started using nutrena feather fixer. I went back to Higby's and bough a couple more bags on Monday.I thought about getting some of that... Quote: If I had more hens and less roosters and ducks I'd probably try it, but I hate to feed a more expensive feed to those that don't need it. Good to know that it works though.
For those in my area, Silva's carries it.

Quote: Mostly Purina lay pellets, but they also get some scratch, rolled corn, BOSS, TMC Gamebird, oyster shell, turkey starter and alfalfa. My peafowl are picky and won't eat food after it's been out for 48 hours, so I toss what they don't eat to the chickens and ducks. The peafowl and turkeys are fed turkey starter, TMC and oyster shell, nothing else.
