Ahahahaha! I need to get a sign made.
They make me smile like crazy too.
My weirdly-feathered d'anvers hen is my poster child

I think she's a non-frizzled frazzle mottled.
She looks greasy so she's named "Slick".
She lays exquisite little white eggs.

Actually she is a d'Uccle. They have single combs and feathered legs. d'Anvers have rose combs and clean legs.

I have plenty of d'Anver eggs for your cute little broody when you pick up your chicks. Mostly mixed colors right now since they are all running together, but you might get a Mille Fleur out of them.

when could i move my courtunix outside? (one is 6-7 weeks old and the other is 3 weeks old)
The Cots should be fine outside now. Once they are fully feathered they are ready

Quote: Oh...I hope not! Those Bresse will be for ME to eat...not them!

Oh, will someone please have fertile eggs for this broody?
I set the basket down for a minute and ...

She wouldn't even get out when I picked the basket up!
Oh my! That is the most adorable thing I have seen in a long time!

I just have the 1 broody right now but she is a holy terror when she comes off the nest to eat and drink. Anyone that crosses her bath better watch out!

And the Coop of Misfit Birds gains a few more residents. I swear your coop with all it's slightly not to standard girls makes me smile like crazy.
Rather like my own. I can't keep roosters either, but people like us give the imperfect ones a purpose in life!

I am in Pleasant Grove CA, in the middle of all the rice fields so I get a lot more birds than most do in a backyard enviornment. I have been using the Zefend A for the last 2 weeks and have seen an improvement in my chickens poop so to speak. I have free range chickens on an acre and using this tightned it all up after a few days. The weather here has been very warm and dry for this time of the year so my working girls are very busy all day long. I have 12 hens and 2 rooster's and I like the fact that I do not have to toss the eggs, this is the best time of year to get those gorgeous deep orange yolks that make me so happy and I am ear to ear to know I don't have to throw them out.

It is unfair to be this cute and adorable

I wanted to share some photos of my chicks who were bred, and hatched by "chickee". It is always a deep pleasure to purchase chicks from chickee/Candy, who is a very lovely Lady. As before, I am simply in awe of how beautiful and healthy these babies are. Well, needless to say, I took off 2 days from my work to be able to just sit there and watch them in awe. They are W&BW Ameraucanas, and GCM. Their ages are 1,2,and 3 wks. old. Thank you very much Candy, for these gorgeous chicks
