Not sure if its boy or girl yet but looks an awful lot like its older sister.

Posting again. Free roosters. I don't want to have to give them away as someones dinner so if anyone is interested we have,
6, 7 week old olive egger cockerels.
1, 5 week old purebred welsummer.
3, 5 week old jubilee orpington cockerels.
2, 4 week old large fowl cochin cockerels.
Need to go asap. Only have so much room in the bachelor pen.

Where did you get your orpingtons from?

I purchased all my eggs from ebay. These are all we hatched out ourselves. Unfortunately it's been year of the rooster for us and we have hatched almost no females..
Ive hatched out 10 birds bought 10 feedstore pullets and my broodies have hatched 2
Of my hatches are 6 boys 4 girls
Feedstore 6 live girls 2 died and 2 boys
Of the broodies 1 is a boy the other may yet be a boy still too young to tell.

Sounds like your hatches have produced more boys as well. I read that the hen determines the sex of the chick unlike people who the male determines the gender. I think it's time some breeders start using some different hens lol

Kind of limited on the Pita choices though. And my blue egg laying project. I haven't got a single Blue egg layer yet. I set a bunch of CLB eggs but none were fertile. The one Legbar EE cross I got is male. I have a white layer in with the Legbar boy too but she has spent too much time broody and currently isnt laying. (Decided to go fake broody about a week ago)

Hoping for September hatching
Ark Blues, Barred Hollands if I can find them and Pitas of course.

No I'm not sure about their lines. I'm sure if they were greenfire or something like that it would have been advertised though. They are beautiful so far and I've had lots of communication with the breeder. Very honest people.

Who is the breeder? My choc orp cockerel is still a very non aggressive to people but he is breeding the heck out of my hens. I have been told to keep him in his own cage a few days a week. It seems a little cruel but he gashes a split in my favorelle skin last week. I need to do something with him.
