California - Northern

@Happy Chooks
I was told you can help me change my last name on BYC. I just got married in June and trying to get through this lengthy process with my whole life of financials, forums, and everything else. Also, I only use my Android phone in case that matters. I sure appreciate any help. I looked everywhere on BYC, but couldn't figure it out.I'm not computer savvy at all.
Thanks.

So are you Happy Chooks? Sorry, I meant to askthat in the last post :-)

Does anyone feed King brand feed? I am particularly interested in hearing about their Organic and non gmo feeds.

Thanks

Not sure if they have an "organic" but they have no soy, no corn no GMO feeds and they are great.

Here in our SoCal area our feed store has Scratch and Peck brand uncooked unpelleted raw non-GMO no soy no corn layer feed 18% protein. They only mill certified organic and non-GMO verified seeds. They also have turkey, pig, and goat organic raw feed. Some people have complained there is too much powdery residue from the chicken feed but that's what you'll have when it isn't cooked or pressed together in processing a natural feed. I mix with cooked organic brown rice and the powdery stuff will mostly stick to it if you're concerned about waste. Chickens are feed scatterers anyway and can waste any feed naturally so I'd rather present them with organic rather than processed pellets or crumbles ~ although some people offer both forms together and let the chicken choose the nutrition their body craves.

I used the non soy non gmo layer feed a couple of years ago but they do not sell in my area anymore. The closed store is in Fairfield, which is not close enough to Woodland. I looks like Bar Ale has taken over the market here.

King Brand Freedom feed is awesome though!

Hey all. I'm needing to find a home for 2 of our dogs. They are just to much for us right now. We have such a busy schedule we have no time for training even though they are both so smart. They are potty trained to a dog door but have discovered how to jump our fence. Both need a very secure yard which we don't have. We were quoted 5000 dollars to replace our fence. Sophie is a purebred 2 year old doberman pincher with one ear clipped and the other droopy. She gets along with all children even letting our 4 year old crawl all over her. She is very treat oriented and would be easy to train if she had someone who had more time for her. She needs way more exercise and is not allowed out of our house right now due to our fencing problem unless she is leashed. Our second dog is a husky mix. About one and a half years old. She is very mellow in the house but more difficult to train. Really the only problem with either that we are having right now is they both have accidents in the house which never happened when they could use the dog door. I feel so bad for them but don't know how to find them good homes and I don't want to list on Craigslist or take to the pound. Both are good with kids of all ages. They are not so good with cats. They seen to get along well with other dogs since we also have a lab and a chihuahua. Both are girls. If anyone is interested or has more questions pm me please. Thanks. :)
