California - Northern

I wish I had pictures Ron. They are on my old tablet that crashed and I haven't been able to get to them through the cloud.

My excuse for driving 5 1/2 hours to look at chickens is now close to finishing Cosmetology school and expected to graduate in December.

The Modesto/Stockton show is in February if I remember correctly. Getting over the passes that time of year is an IFFY situation. Stephens WA is just as far also. I have done a day trip to Salem and delivered 4 pairs of birds for another person.

There is a show in Santa rosa if it has not already happened.

I need to look it up!

Nice video but they tend to be regional.
We show breastbone differently, width of abdomen, vent, width of pubic bones. Our kids also do a lice/mite check under each wing.
There is a great 4_H Poultry book that gives step by step on showing, it also has instructions on bathing birds for show. I give you the title but mine is out with a kid how lost theirs.

How interesting! I didn't realize they were regional. I was just thinking the video might make it more clear how important a small chicken is for showing.

I found this adorable picture online illustrating the point even better. One of the sweetest things I've ever seen.
