Greetings from Newman, CA. Just wondering if there are any breeders near by who may be selling cream legbars or French black copper maran chicks this hatching season? Any info or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

We were hoping to offer both breeds this year, but our BCM rooster has been uncooperative, and we lost a few Legbar hens, so we’re back to square one for both. You may want to ask Kern @ Yancey Lumber if if he has any, or if he knows someone who does. Good luck!

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your Legbars and your rooster being uncooperative That sounds awful. I had thought about asking Kern too lol I had bought some Olive Eggers from him 2 years ago. Thanks for the advice

Here is a picture of a Marans egg I got last week. A large egg is supposed to be 57 grams, a jumbo egg is 71 grams, and this one is 108 grams. Poor chicken! Kern

The flock includes 15 hens and 4 roosters, plus I have 7 additional roosters available.
