I'll post this here as well: Anyone have any Speckled Sussex babies I could toss under my mama cochin? She is hatching out the Blue Splash Marans eggs I bought on Fri/Sat., and I want 2-3 SS to put under her as well, now that she broke 3/10 eggs.

(Two in a bar brawl and one to cochin clumsiness...) Anybody here in Sonoma County or close? Pretty please??

Hi all I grew up in northern california--- the real one! Little town of Willow Creek on Hwy 299 headed to Eureka. Now thats north! Good old Humboldt County. Im in Utah now

Love the skiing here, miss good ol Humboldt Co.

Howdy! I'm from Humboldt County too...out in the hills between Ferndale and Petrolia. Willow Creek is beautiful! Love that area.

They had spreckled sussex babies at Half Moon Bay Feed, but I'm not sure if they still do or if hatchery birds are acceptable. They had them last Saturday.

Anyone know where I can get some Cochin chicks right now? I was expecting to pick up 3
yesterday but was only able to get one. Although it is sexed to be a hen, we all
know there are no guarantees on that. I posted a pic and someone guessed ROO!
I'm really hoping that's not the case, but regardless, I wanted a few of them
anyway. I am hoping to get some that are between a few days old to a few weeks
max.

I'm in the San Jose area, and I would prefer to not drive too far (not 2 hours).

Sorry, no clue. Our local feed store up here isn't carrying chicks until March, but maybe your local store? Or try on Craigslist!
