Quote: yeah, thanks! I have my last big hatch for the year coming monday as well, all other people's eggs that I bought as my continued incubator experiment, testing all the variables. I started brooding the last batch of chicks and then those coming monday in the garage instead of the barn (much less temp fluctuation). I guess I am learning that I should save my fully covered coops for the juveniles. good to know. gonna do some rearranging before moving juveniles out again or try to light method to draw them to warmth. mostly a bummer on the juvies because only a few of them were from my stock so I can't replace them except to get more eggs and start over. Ah well, such is the life of a chicken farmer...I did have one of my eggs hatch 4 days early so it must have been sat on when I picked it up from the breeder, so funny how they can still for well over 24 hours on my counter and still hatch when they had already been started. Amazing little silkie!!
Have you guys tried the new mobile version of BYC? I just figured it out and am so excited!
I have contacted the game warden and left a message yesterday. still no answer. I went to Lowes to by a run and heavy gauge galvanized stucco wire for the top. He was out there again. once I get the chickens secure I am just going to fire rounds off every time I see him.
Not at him but hopefully the sound of a 410 shotgun everyday will scare him away.
is this meant for me i hope?I have a Roo and some ' I don't know what they are yets'
I also have your jubilee Roos
