I think its the recessive white Gumbii, if this little fuzzy butt turns out white then my Brownii is the white gene carrier. The cockerel above is the second white ones came out from Brownii X Chocolatii, I gave the 1st one to my uncle. Will do Gumbii.

JOEY-----I looked at the pic before I read the caption [on the white roo] and I said to myself: "Just what kind of breeding experiment is Joey up to now??"

man, that's a trip... and why do you put felt on to hold the comb...? is it all wrinkled up from birth or what...? that's kind of crazy, never heard of that... well, other in american game roo's...

I know, I still owe you a SQ hen. If one of my fuzzy butts turn out to be a SQ hen, do you want to join us (Cara, Jacob, Kate and me)for a trip to Semi-National in AZ? Its seven months a way though.

It looks like its going to fold to one side and I don't want to see that. I saw few pics of the Malaysian tape up their show bird's comb to keep it straight so I thought to give it a try. I am like one of those perfectionist, I want everything to be picture perfect.

I can see alot of potentials in him and I don't want to see a fold comb on him.

Im really hopeing pecan goes back to laying so I can hatch her off spring from her to my rooster from Cara and then show that chick but I will not bring pecan Ill probley end up bringing The young hen I got from Cara but I think that woud not be right of me as she bred for that bird and if I won I would not feel pround as cara bred the amazing bird.

cool...

i know this is off topic, but does anyone have any easter egger pullets they need to get rid of... i lost one today... or i noticed she was gone today... she got stuck in between a tree trunk and the wall...
sad.png

sucks 'cause i got her as a chick... she would jump on me when i'd walk into the pen...

Bummer Gumbii!!! I will have 2 Australorp pullets sometime this summer, when my hen gets tired of raising them, but no EE's.

BTW... #7 hatched, and there are still three more pips!!!

Serama still at 2. OEGB at 5

Nobody wants to guess what color my little grey/yellow chicks will be???
idunno.gif
The OEGBs are too easy, they will look just like their parents BB Reds... I'm actually excited to see what my seramas will look like!! I enjoy the potluck of genes that they carry!

Sue... you're on countdown now, aren't you!!
fl.gif

Jacob, if your old 'bator is going to be out of commission, then yes, I'd love to borrow it for a bit.

Edit: two more hatched last night! Serama=3, OEGB=6

I'm a serama breeder (casual) in northern California! I'm not far from bigb-71, we're working together!

I have a bunch of cockerels growing up right now, they're going to be some interesting and gorgeous fellows.
big_smile.png
All kinds of colors in this group, I'm curious what colors they'll end up being! I'm giving them another few months to fill out more and get in their true colors before I find them homes, but if anyone's looking for some cute cockerels, let me know! I usually have mostly hen hatches but this one seems to be almost all cockerels. I'll post pictures once they're a little older!
