For me, the eggs that were laid on a Monday were hatched on a Monday, same went for my incubator eggs, what I set on a Saturday night, hatched on a Saturday day- Sunday am.

You mean Whitii??? He is currently at my uncle's house (the one who gave me Whitii's dad), my uncle wants to borrow him for his Malaysian Serama type project after I explained to him my theory. Hopefully I get him back next month so I can get my project going. No, he is not for SALE Bill!!!!! He is the focal point of my flock to get me where I need and want to go.....the elites will smoke me if I don't have anything great to compete against them.

Sue:
Whatever day of the week they were put in the bator they hatched on the same day of the week, three weeks later. But I'm not a hatching pro, that was just my personal experience with my two hatches- one saved and incubated, one freshly laid by a hen and sat on.

just my experience.

Hey, Joey's on!!

I see the boy really gets around.....I don't think Bill wants to buy him Joey just borrow him OR maybe he could send you his girl for Whitti to make smooches on......LOL

GUESS WHAT Ceasar did today...He and Beeps were ambassadors of goodwill for the Serama breed. I took them to visit a store where the people who own it wanted to see these mini chickens. Threw both in the car [no cage]. Went we got there tucked them both under my arm, went in the store and plopped them on the glass counter. There were many people fawning all over them touching, picking up etc..and both were like little statues---no fear--such good birdies! and they were such a hit with everyone. I LOVE MY SERAMAS!

I'm not much of a night owl, so I'll let you, Joey, and maybe Gumbii and Ray take over from here, I wake up with the roosters every morning.... I"m not much for late nights, unless there's a RedBull involved.

I rather have a well balance bird with high chest then a large low, a large low chested bird will loose points in type catagory. Jerry's, Grady's, Dianne's or Edgar's does not matter, its how you select the pair that compliment one another is the key to success. To prove my point, you have seen what my starter birds look like and how far I got myself today. But if you still want to do it, I will gladly help you...you have to wait a couple months though cuz I am going to pair him with my typie pullet of mind to jump start my Malaysian Serama type project when get him back from my uncle.
