I got some not sure what to breed next but im down in the middle haha LA SoCal hot and sizzling with nice cocoapop pairs cooking up more and more every month haha
Yes cara I love him The Golden Duckwing rooster I got from you is molting right now but that mottled is friendly to I really like him Thanks again Cara and pecan isnt laying I think shes molting to so no more eggs for me to put in the bater just my olives And Cara Soon ill be able to hatch everything and I mean EVERYTHING For my birthday me and my dad are getting the huge bator that holds like 400 eggs and it has the auto humidity.
Jake Pecan is not going to lay for a while!! I dont know if you are aware but she was just a few days from death!
You were able to turn her around but in birds that is a hard thing to do, when they crash they go hard, especially seramas... feel her brest and see how full it is, When i felt her a few weeks ago she was concave and I could completely palpate her brestbone no meat on it at all, She need to have that nice and full again and be happy again before she will physically be able to make eggs, it takes lots of energy to produce them.. You have a very nice hen, I am sorry that I had left the eggs from her and Charlie in the sun, I was in a Huge rush to get to you and your father that day to gie your hen back!!, I was really hoping they would hatch but I think it is unlikely at this point!! I would however like to give it another go mabe and a few months, I really think that she will produce the cocopop color with Charlie my young roo!! I am also glad that you are getting an incubater, that is going to be lots of fun for you.
Please remember when you breed your chickens to be responsible, Breed the best you have to the best you can, Your offspring will be better and you will have less vonerable lives that are uncertain!! Jake the serama world is a strange one, it is a developing breed, I hope that you are taking the time to join in on the vertual shows on SCNA and start to educate your self on how to critique a bird and what you need to look for.. At this point for you LESS OS MORE, Use your excellent breeding stock to develop your line of serama, No breeder will ever sell their best broodstock or their best show birds, I have given you a cockerel and pullet that are equal to my youngsters and my breeding program at the moment, the only difference in your birds is that they are not the desired color I wanted in my program but as for conformation, type they are excellent!! It is not how many can I hatch but what consistant quality can I produce!! Please remember that these are living breathing, little creature that we bring in to this world lets be responsible for our actions!!

Ken that is sooo minimal it does not matter, the bird has the type and the barring, the ears and shankl will follow, lets not blow this thred like the other If you want to go that route i say you have a pullet that you posted with green legs, Lets enjoy the birds, and leave the negative aside till we all cool off a bit!! Agreed, Kate nice birds, Ken nice birds, Bill take a breath it will happen!!

Ken
Read what I said....I said I was "toying" with the idea. And, as far as a breeder, we are trying to breed out the white ear lobes, yes, but at this time it is perfectly acceptable to even SHOW a bird with white ear lobes and it is not DQ'd or points off. And, Ken, thanks for the concern but if I decide to breed this guy and work on a barred project, I know what I'm doing. Remember, number 1 thing to breed for is TYPE and this is a very typey cock and he has a LOT of good points and would score pretty decently if I showed him.
