Sue, I think that the effort to be do as OC chicken did is a admirable. But you and I do not practice this ritual because we do not really want to fight for commercial efforts. Besides that I think that the folks who do follow the Black Ritual are just hooked on the bargain thing. I sure like the decorations for holidays. I enjoy the wonderful church hymns and classical church music but I do think that it is time to boycott the commercial aspects of holidays. To me if you can not make a gift then it is not worth the crowds and advertisements and Madison Avenue/Wall Street thieves. But then I have always been a non-believer.

ie black friday fever is similar to hatching fever. Almost an addiction !

i might also sell the laptop for $350ish because i don't really need it and that will cover chicken feed cost for a couple months

thanks yall... i don't know about entrepreneurship but i certainly want to capitalize on the situation. who doesn't love a good deal right? the last few years i have scored some great stuff at great prices and gifted them away to family and friends... getting stuff at those awesome prices is part of the fun... the rest is time spent "camping out" and taking shifts with family and friends before thanksgiving... good for my pocket book and good for economy... it's all good but trust me... if my feed store had 'door buster' chicks for 10 cents each or $20 incubators i would probably be the first in line for that

Hi all, I am sneaking this in here.... I am trying to find homes for 1 snow white EE roo / 1 red EE roo [I believe these are brothers] and also 1 Light Brahma roo. They have been handled and are people friendly. They appear to be under 1 yr. They were given to the stable owners, where I keep my horse. I have be authorized to find homes for these boys. The white roo is really a great guy, VERY friendly. Out of all of them, hes my favorite, he really would make a nice addition to your barnyard.
The red roo will try to bite me when I pick him up, but once I am holding him he is fine. {I am working on that] The Light Brahma is shy when I go to pick him up, but is calm once I am holding him.
I hope there is someone out there they might like one of these guys.............Thank you so much for looking....
Please PM me for more info......sorry about the crummy pictures, I know they aren't the greatest.

Hey ya'll, I'm thinking about placing an order this spring for Ameraucanas from John Blehm. I don't want 25 though. Does anyone want to split an order with me? I am thinking I will order about 10 -12 chicks. I want to order LF Lavender Ameraucanas. That would leave 10-15 for others. Check out his website http://chickhatchery.com/Chicks.html to see the varieties. Anyone interested, let me know. (PM) I live in North County of San Diego. The order would be shipped to me, and you would have to come to me to pick up your chicks.

RHRanch, i was looking at the prices... are the prices for the minimal order or for one chick?
"large fowl Ameraucana – “hatchery choice” (limit 50/order) $7.00" just wondering... never mail ordered chicks before... liking your invitation but can't see myself driving 2 hours to San Diego for now.. maybe when the kids get older... or when i get a divorce or something haha good luck

Okay, this is how it works: The minimum chicks I can order are 25. I want to order about 10. Each of the lavender chicks I want cost me $9 each ($90.00) The price listed next to a variety is the price per chick. Closetchickenfan, I could drive north and meet you halfway perhaps?

Anyways, anyone who wants to go in on this can, you can order a couple or order just one. Your choice. I was planning on placing the order In mid-january, so there is time to think about it.
